pub(crate) struct MeshGeometryKey {
positions_hash: u64,
indices_hash: u64,
normals_hash: u64,
}Expand description
Content-hash fallback used by BOTH writers: collate_rotation_aware_placements
runs first, this catches what it did not place. Two meshes with bit-identical
(origin-relative) positions, indices AND normals collapse onto one shape.
Normals are keyed because the flat layout emits the shared shape’s normals
for every occurrence; /optimized ships none, so the stricter key can only
split a group whose normals differ, which the pipeline never produces
(normals derive from positions/indices) — no /optimized behaviour change.
Fields§
§positions_hash: u64Hash of the quantized positions.
indices_hash: u64Hash of the indices.
normals_hash: u64Hash of the normals.
