pub struct InstanceOccurrence {
pub mesh_index: usize,
pub transform: [f32; 16],
}Expand description
One occurrence of a template geometry.
Fields§
§mesh_index: usizeIndex of the original mesh in the input slice (carries entity id / colour).
transform: [f32; 16]Row-major mat4 mapping the template’s baked world geometry onto this occurrence. The template occurrence’s transform is identity.
Expressed in the CALLER’S basis frame — whatever baked_basis was
handed to collate_refs_in_basis — and in the native post-RTC frame
when that basis was None (which is what collate_refs passes). A
consumer that reads this field directly rather than recomputing from
InstanceMeta is therefore reading the frame its own baked vertices are
in, not a native-frame matrix it has to conjugate itself.
