Exact source descriptions for IFC geometry, in representation-local IFC units. A description does not claim to include later boolean operations.
Structs§
- Analytic
Extrusion - One source extrusion in IFC file-length units and IFC Z-up.
Positionmaps the profile’s coordinates into the solid’s local frame; a product or mapping transform is separate. No CSG or external void is applied here. - Analytic
Point - A world-space point kept as an origin and a local offset. Comparing nearby points this way retains small arc offsets at large georeferenced origins.
- Analytic
Profile IfcProfileDefgeometry beforeIfcExtrudedAreaSolid.Positionand mapping. ItsPositionbelongs to the profile and is returned separately, in raw IFC file units; no approximation from drawing or meshing is used.- Analytic
Profile Loop - One ordered, closed source boundary. Signed area preserves the authored traversal direction: positive is counterclockwise in the profile XY plane.
- Analytic
Segment Frame - Endpoints and unit tangents in directrix traversal direction. A zero-length line or zero-sweep arc has no defined tangent.
- Analytic
Swept Disk - The authored
IfcSweptDiskSolidbefore any enclosing boolean operation.
Enums§
- Analytic
Curve Segment - An ordered directrix primitive. Angles are radians in the circle’s local frame.
- Analytic
Status - Whether every part of the authored directrix has an exact supported form.
- Profile
Loop Kind
Functions§
- extract_
analytic_ extrusion - Return a complete exact source or an explicit unsupported reason. Even a malformed required attribute keeps its solid STEP ID in the result.
- extract_
analytic_ profile - Read supported exact profile loops, preserving an unsupported reason on the source record rather than publishing a partial or tessellated contour.
- extract_
swept_ disk - Extract an exact directrix where supported. Unsupported curve types return a status and no partial segments; malformed required attributes return an error.
